This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with experience in responsive repairs, disrepair, and property maintenance to play a key role in maintaining a high-quality housing service. • Carry out inspections of residential properties to identify repair and maintenance requirements.
\n
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and cost estimates for responsive repairs.
\n
• Manage repair works from inspection through to completion, ensuring quality and value for money.
\n
• Investigate reports of disrepair and ensure works are completed in line with relevant legislation and timescales.
\n
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure works meet the required standards.
\n
• Undertake post-inspections to assess the quality of completed repairs.
\n
• Provide technical advice and support to residents, contractors and internal teams.
\n
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, building regulations and council policies.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and produce detailed inspection reports.
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Previous experience working as a Repairs Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Maintenance Surveyor.
\n
• Experience within a local authority, housing association or social housing environment is highly desirable.
\n
• Strong knowledge of building construction, repairs and maintenance.
\n
• Experience managing contractors and monitoring repair programmes.
\n
• Excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills.
\n
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.
