Key Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer:

\n
• Achieve Production Targets:Ensure production targets are consistently met every shift.
\n
• Manage Procedures and Prioritise Safety:Oversee operating procedures, always prioritising safety.
\n
• Perform Routine Maintenance:Conduct regular PPM maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
\n
• Troubleshoot Issues:Identify and resolve technical problems efficiently.
\n
• Drive Continuous Improvement:Implement strategies for ongoing process and performance enhancement.
\n
• Repair Equipment and Automated Machinery:Maintain and repair equipment and automated systems to ensure smooth operations.
\n
• Document and Report Issues:Accurately document and report any issues encountered during shifts.
\n
• Collaborate Effectively:Work closely with other teams and departments to achieve production goals through effective communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications & Skills

Relevant engineering experience [Minimum NVQ Level 3], equivalent or transferrable skills.

Essential

\n
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or related field
\n
• Previous experience as Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields
\n
• Familiarity with relevant safety procedures and regulations
\n
• Able to understand the importance and principles of an advanced Quality Management System
\n
• Experience in maintaining and repairing Machinery and Production equipment
\n
• Experience with industrial networks and control systems
\n
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure
\n
• Experience of safely carrying out planned maintenance across a site ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
\n
• Be an integral part of the engineering team, responding to breakdowns establishing root cause analysis to limit breakdown reoccurring, improving machine reliability and performance
\n
• Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements
\n
• Hands on ownership of issues
\n
• Experience of working well in a team within a fast-paced environment
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• Ability and willingness to work at height
\n

Desirable

\n
• Preferably Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Ex forces Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with
\n
• BTEC/HNC/HND/C&G or Degree in Engineering or related field
\n
• Previous knowledge and understanding of the importance and relevance of a Quality Management System
\n
• Experience of updating records of tasks/spare parts used from store and work completed, using the CMMS system
\n
