We’re recruiting a Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in strengthening financial performance across a growing Trust.

What You'll Be Doing

In this varied and influential role, you will:

Leadership & Impact

\n
• Provide high-quality financial advice to the COFO
\n
• Support the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and policies across the Trust
\n
• Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
\n

Technical & Compliance Leadership

\n
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls
\n
• Oversee VAT partial exemption calculations and tax compliance
\n
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register in line with policy
\n
• Support audit readiness (internal, external, and TPS audit compliance)
\n
• Ensure compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook & Charity Commission guidelines
\n

Operational Excellence

\n
• Work collaboratively with academies and governing bodies to support financial decision-making
\n
• Monitor and track capital funding and earmarked grants
\n
• Manage treasury activities and investment opportunities
\n
• Support procurement processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
\n

About You

We’re looking for someone who is driven, detail-focused, and confident influencing at senior level:

\n
• Fully CIMA qualified (essential)
\n
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant
\n
• Strong technical expertise across Excel and finance systems (PSF, HCSS, STAR desirable)
\n
• Track record of working under pressure and delivering to deadlines
\n
• Excellent communicator with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
\n
