Are you passionate about delivering high-quality design solutions within shipbuilding? Belcan is seeking Electrical Designers at Junior through to Senior level to join our Naval team, supporting complex marine engineering projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and apply your expertise in design and detailing within a collaborative and technically challenging shipbuilding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Design & Documentation

\n
• Produce 2D/3D models using Foran and technical documentation using industry-standard CAD tools.
\n

\n
• Technical capabilities including, Electrical system / component design, electronic schematic analysis, CMPIC/Cable management, cable segregation and load calculations
\n
• Develop clear and accurate design outputs to support fabrication and installation.
\n

Project Delivery

\n
• Deliver design work in line with project schedules, budgets, and customer requirements.
\n
• Identify and communicate design risks, changes, and efficiency improvements.
\n

Collaboration & Development

\n
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
\n
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering environment across Belcan's global network.
\n
• For junior candidates: receive mentoring and development support.
\n
• For senior candidates: provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
\n

Required Skills & Experience

\n
• Experience in Electrical design within a marine / shipbuilding environment: \n
  \n
  • Junior: some relevant experience or strong academic/project background
  \n
  • Mid-level: proven industry experience
  \n
  • Senior: significant experience with ability to lead or mentor
  \n
\n
• Proficiency in CAD software for shipbuilding design and detailing (preferably Foran).
\n
• Understanding of marine standards and best practices is highly desirable.
\n
