Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum

Reports to: Home Manager / Bursar

We are seeking a Cook to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service within a residential setting. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals while meeting a range of dietary and cultural needs.

• Assist with menu planning in collaboration with the Chef
\n
• Prepare, cook, and serve meals in line with agreed menus
\n
• Cater for a variety of dietary requirements
\n
• Maintain stock levels and ensure quality of ingredients
\n
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP procedures
\n
• Support compliance with inspections and implement improvements where required
\n
• Provide cover for the Chef when needed
\n

\n
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
\n
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
\n
• Experience in a kitchen preparing meals for groups
\n
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
\n
• Positive, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
\n
• A considerate approach when working with older people
\n

\n
• Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking (or willingness to work towards)
\n
• Knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and menu planning
\n
• Some supervisory experience
\n
