Role: Accounts Assistant\n Location: Milton Keynes\n Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, Office Hours\n Salary: £28,000 - £30,000\n\nAn excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our client's successful team.\n\nWho are we?\n\nOur client is a well-established and growing business with a reputation for delivering excellent service within their sector. They are looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day running of their finance function and work closely with both the Finance Manager and wider operational teams.\n\nBenefits:\n\nStable and supportive working environment\nOpportunity to work closely with experienced finance professionals\nVaried role with broad responsibilities\nTraining and development opportunities\nFree parking\nCompany pension\nDuties of an Accounts Assistant:\n\nProcessing a high volume of supplier invoices and accurately recording them within the finance system\nManaging supplier accounts and resolving invoice queries in a timely manner\nReconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies\nAssisting with payment runs and ensuring invoices are processed within agreed timescales\nSupporting month-end activities, including account reconciliations and reporting\nPreparing customer invoices and checking supporting documentation for accuracy\nReviewing and processing employee expense claims\nMaintaining accurate financial records and updating accounting systems\nLiaising with internal departments to ensure financial information is complete and up to date\nSupporting the Finance Manager with reporting, accruals and ad-hoc finance projects\nProviding general administrative support to the finance and operations teams\nWhat we would like from you:\n\nPrevious experience within an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant role\nGood understanding of accounts payable processes and financial administration\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy\nConfident user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications\nStrong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments\nAbility to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment\nA proactive and flexible approach to work\nExperience processing expenses and reconciling invoices would be advantageous\nIf you are interested in this role, please apply below with your most recent CV.\n\nMKTEMP\n\nBy applying to this job advertisement, you confirm you have read and understood our Data Protection and Privacy statement and give OA Group authorisation to hold your provided data.
