As a pivotal part of Team Doncaster, the council has been on a significant journey of improvement and transformation to become an employer of choice. In a challenging financial climate we are transforming children and young people’s services and have ambitious plans to be the most child friendly borough in the country. This role forms part of a wider recruitment campaign to further strengthen the directorate and to continue to drive the positive momentum gained from our improvement journey to date. Anyone wishing to join us on our journey can look forward to a confident, ambitious organisation at an exciting time for the borough.

As Head of Engagement and Partnerships you will strategically lead and coordinate the systems leadership response in relation to the newly developed CYPP (2017-20). You will lead Doncaster in becoming the most children friendly borough in the country and support the delivery of the council’s strategy for the voice of the child, championing the Children’s Commissioner Priorities locally. You will personally be a champion of children and young people and support the Director of Children Services in advocating on behalf of and for children and young people. You will have excellent partnership skills, working across the Directorate and wider Council with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes and systemic change. You will help Doncaster realise its ambition of being the most child friendly borough in the country.
